Tea Trails, Sri Lanka: We have wifi. And a lot more.

Wifi’s the least of what we have here at Tea Trails. It is the most beautiful, most luxurious place we’ve ever seen.

The photo above is Castlereagh “bungalow”, where we’re staying for the next three nights. Calling it a bungalow is like calling the Great Wall of China a fence.

The train ride up to the lush tea country was so much fun and so interesting.

More details to come after we get settled in.

Holy crap, Diane, you can’t believe how great it is. I don’t think photos or my descriptions will do it justice. The setting is stunning. The bungalow is a work of art. The service is remarkable. The food is fabulous. And on top of that, the Sri Lankan people are just unbelievably happy and friendly and helpful. There’s nothing not to love. Check it out at TeaTrails.com.

With your Jamaican life experience, I have a feeling you’ll understand exactly what’s going on here. This “bungalow” was once the home of the manager of a huge tea plantation. So I guess it’s only a bungalow by the outrageous standard set in that bygone era of British colonialism.
