Angaston, South Australia: A far cry

April 18, 2020 Jim 2 Comments

This was supposed to be the day our Aussie friends gathered from all around South Australia for our going away party. But no one can travel and we’re all quarantined so it will be a while before it needs to be rescheduled.

It’s made both of us a little emotional. I was looking back at some of the older stories here on good ol’ JimandJamie.com and ran across this video from two years ago. I clicked on it and Jamie started crying as soon as she heard the first couple notes of the soundtrack. Of course, I’m a big, tough, burly man so I made it all the way to the first words of Chris Hemsworth’s voiceover before I teared up.

It’s a great commercial. I couldn’t possibly string together any words to better explain why we love this place so much.

And here’s another version without Hemsworth’s voiceover:

And here’s the aboriginal version.
