Alice Springs, Northern Territory: What we missed

November 27, 2017 Jim 2 Comments

Alice Springs may be the focal point of a famous novel (In case it’s not famous enough for you to have heard of, it was a 1950 best seller titled “A Town Like Alice”), but the town isn’t the center of attention out here.

Nope. The beauty of the outback is what people come here for. And what they come back for.

Our plane touched down at noon on Tuesday, we rented a car, checked into our hotel, grabbed a late lunch, toured the Kangaroo Sanctuary, went back to our hotel, and caught a plane back to Adelaide mid-day Wednesday. Twenty-four hours is definitely not enough time.

We’re already planning on coming back on on next trip Down Under.

There is definitely lots to see and do there. The school of the air is a real eye opener, along with all the beautiful gorges and chasms
