In my military service years ago we were working with the “Rannies”, Royal Australian Navy personnel, and I may as well have been trying to converse in Swahili. Funny thing is they ragged on me because of my New Mexico, cowboy southern drawl! Great people, loyal to a fault and willing to step up when the fists started swinging in a seaside beer joint brawl! Gotta love the Aussies!
