The Atacama, Chile: Our enthusiasm never flags

Texas is the Lone Star State and that is reflected in our state flag. It’s been the flag since the Republic of Texas was founded in 1839.

You gotta think Sam Houston or Stephen Austin or Dallas Green or one of the other founders knew someone in Chile because this has been the flag of Chile since 1817.

(Don’t send emails. I know that Dallas was not named after Dallas Green. He was the manager of the Philadelphia Phillies, New York Yankees and New York Mets.)
