The first ten cases of coronavirus have just been detected in the Barossa Valley. And odd as this seems, all ten are American tourists. They’re quarantined in a very nice hotel where we occasionally have dinner.
We’d better start telling people we’re Canadian.
They probably escaped from a cruise ship.
Y’all be safe…. as much as that is possible with this…… I’m sure you’re content in your Australian cottage and your home here looks safe and sound….. but we really do miss your smiling faces and humor that always lightens our day. ?

Turns out they are very wealthy Americans staying in the most expensive hotel in the Valley. They’ve released a list of places they visited and they’re all the most expensive restaurants and wineries in the valley. We’re just your average poor folk from Texas, so we only ate at one of those restaurants and that was about four months ago. They’re all in isolation in their hotel out in the middle of the vineyards far away from any of the local towns. So far, so good.
