Every time we visit the Barossa our friends Ken and Sue tell us about their wonderful beach vacations in Goolwa. But because of their Aussie accents or perhaps because of our American ears, we thought they were saying Gawler, which is another completely different town just down the road.
That really confused us. Because we were pretty confident that Gawler was nowhere near the ocean.
Our confusion gave them a good laugh. But it was all worth it because we took their advice and booked three nights in Goolwa.
It’s definitely not Gawler.
