Broome, Western Australia: Where the elite meet to cheat

December 10, 2019 Jim Leave a Comment

Look behind those palm trees and you’ll see the largest houses in Broome. Far as I know, they’re the only beachfront properties for hundreds of miles in either direction. I don’t know how many are up there. Five or maybe six? Or might some of them be smaller guest houses for larger estates? I just don’t know.

But what I do know is that you couldn’t touch one for less that $10 million. Of course, those are Aussie dollars and with today’s exchange rate you could move in for a mere US$6,800,000.

A veritable bargain.

It’s rumored that one of them belongs to Aussie billionaire Kerry Stokes, who also owns one of Australia’s TV networks (among other trifles), but we won’t be able to confirm that until we’re invited to one of his lavish beach parties.

We’re pretty sure our invitation got lost in the mail.
